2019 North Carolina Northwest Regional Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mrs. Laura Brooks, teacher at Wilkes Central High School! She was chosen as the 2019 North Carolina Northwest Regional Teacher of the Year!
Race Against Hunger
On December 19th, students from North Wilkes Middle, Mulberry, Mountain View, and North Wilkesboro Elementary got to “Race Against Hunger!” They shopped for food items to donate to Blue Ridge
Opportunity Commission thanks to money that was raised during the Benny Parsons Race Against
Hunger Golf Tournament held on October 10th. Students were given the green flag to start by NASCAR
commentator, Jeff Hammond, and former NASCAR driver, Greg Biffle!

Moravian Falls Elementary Hold Annual Yellow Jacket Walk
Moravian Falls Elementary held their annual "PTO Yellow Jacket Walk" on December 3rd! Students from Wilkes Central High School joined Moravian Falls students around the track to talk with them and encourage them to do well in school. They even had special music provided by the Wilkes Central High School Band!
