Additional Information and Requirements

State law requires students to be 14½ on or before the first day of class.
This is a 30-hour course, and all students must attend 30 hours of instruction. Students may miss one class session for any reason but MUST attend the make-up day. Students must attend 15 of the 16 sessions, and there are no exceptions.
The class is open to all public school, private school, and homeschooled students.
Class fees are $65.00. Please make checks payable to Wilkes Central or bring $65.00 in cash. Fees will be taken at the parent meeting or on the first day of class. Do not put money or check in registration packets.
Behind-the-Wheel Training will begin with the oldest students being scheduled first. Please do not expect to be given a driving schedule when the classroom portion is completed. Mike Greene will be in charge of BTW training, and there are many factors that determine when students are scheduled. Every effort is made to get students through this hands-on training as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact Mike Grene at (336) 957-6627 or through email at [email protected]
