WCS Awarded Digital Learning Grant

Wilkes County Schools was recently awarded a sizable Digital Learning Initiative grant from the North Carolina State Board of Education. Grant monies, totaling $149,756, will be used to fund a two year plan to support the implementation of digital teaching and learning professional development aligned to the NC Digital Learning Competencies. School Delay for Friday, October 12th

With high winds predicted for tonight and the potential for falling trees and limbs, Wilkes County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students tomorrow, Friday, October 12th. This delay will allow buses and student drivers to travel in daylight and hopefully avoid any hazards which may be in our highways. As a reminder, buses do not leave schools before 7:45 on 2-hour delay days. Stay safe!

HS Theatre Performance this Weekend!

The Wilkes County High School Theatre Department will be presenting "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" this weekend (October 12-14). Performances will be held at the Stone Family Center for Performing Arts on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7pm and on Sunday at 4pm. Concessions will be available at the show, and tickets will be sold at the door. Admission is $5 and kids 5 years and younger get in free.
