Spring Driver's Education Classes Planned

Four sessions of Driver's Education Classes have been planned for the Spring. There is one planned for each of the four school districts. Parent meetings are scheduled for February, and the $65 registration fee will be collected during these times. Exam Schedule and Calendar Updates

The High School Exam Schedule has been adjusted due to the days missed for snow. The first day of exams will now be January 17th. Please see school websites for detailed information. The end of the first semester is January 23rd. This day will also be the first make-up day due to inclement weather.

School Board Receives Golden Bell Award

On September 28th, members of the Wilkes County Board of Education were presented with the Golden Bell Award by the North Carolina School Board Association at their regional meeting. This distinguished award is presented to school boards when each member completes 12 or more hours of professional development training in a single year. Click below to read more!

Angel Bell Receives HOPE Award

Angel Bell, a social worker at five elementary schools and one middle school, was recognized this month as the first recipient of the HOPE Award. She was selected from 11 nominees that included school counselors, nurses, and social workers. HOPE stands for Helping Other People Excel.
