Congratulations to our Director of Student Services, Mrs. April Marr! She was presented with the 2021 CARE Award (Children Are Reason Enough) from the student services department for going above and beyond for our students and staff!

The Wilkes All-County Choral Clinic was held on the evening of October 19th at the John A. Walker Center. Students from all of our high schools joined together to form the SAB Choir and the SATB Advanced Choir under the direction of Tonya Smith and Bernadette Watts. Monday, June 7th, Mr. Mark Byrd was named the 2021 Northwest Region Superintendent of the Year by the Northwest Regional Educational Service Alliance (Northwest RESA)! Mr. Byrd was chosen by his peers, which includes superintendents from 12 counties in the northwest region. Mr. Byrd will go on to compete for the title of the A.
