Leader In Me

The Leader In Me Program

All Wilkes County Middle Schools are proud to be a Leader In Me schools associated with the Franklin - Covey organization.

The Leader in Me is a whole-school transformation model and process.  It is based on secular principles and practices of personal, interpersonal, and organization effectiveness known as "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens" written by Sean Covey.  It helps students learn how to become self-reliant, take initiative, plan ahead, set and track goals, do their homework, prioritize their time, manage their emotions, be considerate of others, resolve conflicts, find creative solutions, value differences, and live a balanced life.
