do you like ride the school bus are you excited to ride the right way and show other students how to have a safe trip to school your teachers and your bus driver he's there to keep you safe but only one person can make sure you always have a safe bus trip and that person is you that's right following some simple rules will keep you safe on the school bus ready to learn more first while you're waiting for the school bus stay in your designated yes it could be a bus stop or yard never ever play or stand in the street while waiting on your school bus never stay at the designated bus stop and never wander off as the bus approaches line up or wait quietly alone away from the road do not where's the bus until it is come to a complete stop you see the bright lights flashing is the bus approaching is it time to get on board no the stop arm and the stop sign are out is it time to get on board know the bus driver is open the door now is it time to get board know so how do you know it is safe look around has the bus and every car stopped moving yes then now it's time to get on board always stop look both ways and make sure nothing is moving also be aware of the danger zones 10ft in every direction around the bus can be dangerous avoid these areas as you approach the bus the bus drive needs to be able to see you it all time if you have to cross the street to board the bus wait for the signal from the bus driver and remember look both ways and make sure any cars are stopped to only cross the street when no vehicles are moving walk quietly to the bus now it's time for you to get on board as you step on the bus use the handrail if you drop something let the driver know and they will help you do not attempt to grab anything that may have rolled under the bus never for any reason go under a school bus never you're on board walk to your assigned seat you can always talk quietly with your neighbor but keep your voices low remember the school bus driver is charge you must listen to the driver at all times and followed any rules to drive her hat stay in your seat do not stand up who walk in the aisles keep your hands to yourself and never put your head hands or arms out of the school bus window knowing how to get off the bus is important to wait for the bus to come to a complete stop walk quietly down the aisle to the door and once again hold put the handrail and walk down the stairs remember those danger zones keep them in mind as you exit the bus and proceeded to your bus stop student should stay away from the bus wheels at all times if you have to cross the street move immediately out of the danger zone and at least 15 ft in front of the bus before stopping to cross the street if you can touch the bus you're too close and don't forget both ways wait for the signal from the bus driver before you cross head quietly to your designated area now wasn't that easy if you follow these rules and listen to your bus driver you will have a safe trip to and from school you can keep yourself safe and enjoy your ride and always remember stop look both ways and then walk
