New Students Enrolling in Wilkes County Schools
If you have a child who has been receiving special education services, contact the school in your attendance area and provide them with documentation of your child's special needs (i.e. a copy of the student's Individualized Education Plan). As a newcomer to the system, the first step you will need to take is to register your child for school. You may access online enrollment by clicking enroll student or by visiting the school. If you have copies of your child's last IEP or any other records, this is helpful to bring with you upon registration.
When school is not in session, you may contact the Exceptional Children's Department, 613 Cherry Street, N. Wilkesboro, NC 28659, or call 336-667-1121.
If you are concerned that your child may be in need of special education and/or related services, you should contact your school principal.
