Resolution
Surplus Personal Property
Wilkes County, North Carolina
WHEREAS, the Wilkes County Board of Education is the owner of various items of personal property, which said property is listed and described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as fully set out verbatim, and;
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Wilkes County Board of Education that the any one item or group of similar items of personal property are valued at considerably less than thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), and;
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Wilkes County Board of Education that the use of the said personal property is unnecessary or undesirable for public school purposes, and;
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Wilkes County Board of Education that said property should be sold as by law provided.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that said items of personal property be sold by private negotiation and sale pursuant to and in accordance with N.C.G.S. 115C-518 Chapter 160A-266(b) and be it further resolved that the Superintendent of Schools be and he hereby is authorized and directed to sell said property by private negotiation and sale for cash as soon as possible.
