WHEREAS, at the April 1, 2019 meeting of the Wilkes County Board of Education, D. Mark Byrd, Superintendent of the Wilkes County Schools, recommended that Phillip R. Bare be dismissed from his position of employment with the Wilkes County Schools for one or more of the grounds specified in North Carolina General Statute 115C-325.4; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Education at that meeting found from evidence presented just cause to dismiss Mr. Bare from his position of employment with the Wilkes County Schools based upon the statutory grounds set forth by the Superintendent in his recommendation; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Education did adopt at that meeting the recommendation of the Superintendent to dismiss Mr. Bare from his position of employment with the Wilkes County Schools.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Phillip R. Bare be dismissed from his position of employment with the Wilkes County Schools pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 115C-325.6(d) effective April 1, 2019.
