You may receive a letter from DSS regarding a pandemic EBT benefit extended to households. This benefit is being extended through the Department of Health and Human Services. The benefit is extended to students enrolled in a CEP school or students who qualify for meal benefits in a non-CEP school participating in the National School Lunch and Breakfast program. All Wilkes County Schools elementary and middle schools participate in CEP which will qualify for the meal benefit. All high school students who receive meal benefits will be eligible. The state agency has collected this information from our school system. Meal benefit applications are available for high school families upon request. Should you have any questions please contact Mr. Marty R. Johnson, Director of Child Nutrition at 336-651-4007.
