Accidents occurring during working hours must be reported by the employee to his/her immediate supervisor within 48 hours. The supervisor fills in the "Notice of Accident to Employer" form and submits it to the Wilkes County Schools Central Office. This report must be sent in to the Worker's Compensation Office in Raleigh within five (5) days of the accident.
If a Worker's Compensation claim is filed, you are required to have a drug test. Failure to pass the required drug test could result in termination of employment.
