Wilkes Community Partnership for Children is excited to announce the 2023 Pathfinder Rally – a celebration of all children entering kindergarten in August 2023. On Saturday, June 24th from 9 AM to 11 AM, all families of rising kindergarten students are welcome to come to the West Park parking lot in North Wilkesboro for this event. Students entering kindergarten will receive a T-shirt and a new bookbag (while supplies last) with information and activities to help get children ready for school. Each Wilkes County elementary school will be represented, along with a host of other community agencies sharing information about services for students and families. There will be lots of giveaways, food, and fun! We look forward to seeing you on June 24th.
Wilkes Community Partnership for Children, a local Smart Start Agency, is a 501(c)(3) agency that has been serving children ages birth to 5 years old and their families in Wilkes County for over 28 years. The mission of the agency is to ensure that young children in Wilkes County enter school healthy and ready to succeed. Programs include a free diaper pantry, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Play 2 Learn, Circle of Parents, and more. The Kindergarten Readiness Initiative is a privately funded program aimed at helping Wilkes County children be ready to succeed when they enter school.
