Additional Information and Requirements

State law requires students to be 14½ on or before the first day of class.
Registration forms may be picked up in the front office or downloaded from the district website (Driver's Education Registration Form). Include the student's school email address (if applicable) and at least two (2) phone numbers.
Forms and the $65 course fee should be returned to the main office at school by June 6, 2025. Please make checks payable to North Wilkes High School or bring exact change. Payment must be made before the beginning of class.
Class size will be limited, and another class will be scheduled if the need arises. Preference will be given to the oldest students.
Any student who registered for a previous class and did not attend must register again. If payment was made, it will carry over to this class.
This is a 30-hour course, and all students must attend 30 hours of instruction. The State of North Carolina requires 30 hours of classroom instruction. Only one absence is allowed and must be made up.
The class is open to all public school, private school, and homeschooled students.
