The superintendent is responsible for monitoring the contracts with the architect and all contractors. The superintendent or designee will report periodically to the Wilkes County Board of Education on the progress being made by the contractors and architects, including whether the work is being performed in accordance with plans, specifications, contracts, and specified deadlines.
The superintendent may utilize consultants for performing the review required by this policy. Any contract for such services must be approved by the Board of Education and the cost included in the budget for the project.
