School Board Receives Golden Bell Award

On September 28th, members of the Wilkes County Board of Education were presented with the Golden Bell Award by the North Carolina School Board Association at their regional meeting. This distinguished award is presented to school boards when each member completes 12 or more hours of professional development training in a single year. Typically, board members are given 2 years to complete the minimum amount of required training. Wilkes County Schools is extremely proud of our board members and their commitment to public education in our community. This award recognizes at a state-level the dedication and excellence we have come to know, and we are honored to work with such a wonderful group of leaders! Congratulations!
